The Netzin ICPS-1280-BE is an 8-port unmanaged industrial switch with 8 PoE injectors that fully comply with the IEEE 802.3at PoE standard. One of the most representative examples of this model is its use in constructing a bus surveillance system in France.
The ICPS-1280-BE is installed in each bus and connected to PoE standard IP cameras, an NVR, the ticket system, and an LTE router. The real-time information, including video, is then transmitted to the remote control center. Netzin’s high-quality PoE switch not only provides stable Ethernet connections among these devices in the project but also provides the power they need.
One of the reasons why this model was chosen is the wide power input range it provides. Unlike normal PoE switches’ 48VDC power input, the ICPS-1280-BE, which is designed with a unique 12-54VDC power input, can work in harsh environments with low power supply and provide up to 25w/port@48VDC to PDs. This feature is especially useful for buses since the vehicle system’s battery usually supplies 12V/24V voltage. The ICPS-1280-BE can up 12-48VDC power input to 48VDC PoE output and work well with 48VDC PoE IP cameras. Users don’t have to install an external PoE booster, which may require extra cost and space.
To meet the critical industrial network environment, the ICPS-1280-BE provides an IP30 metal housing and is tested under extensive Industrial EMI and Safety standards. It also passed stability testing, such as free fall, shock, and vibration. The wide operating temperature range of -40°C to 75°C ensures the durability of the switch in a rigorous bus environment. In addition, the reliable surge protection function can ensure the device runs stably under the high voltage generated by the vehicle engine starting.
